SFX on Sasuke’s reaction (Chapter 627) REVISED!

In addition for the info about the SFX:
ス = this is read as “su.“
The SFX isn’t written to go together, it’s written twice, as in there are two “su.” Because “susu" means “slurp", and that just doesn’t go right with the image.
The SFX “su" has several meanings, but I’ll only put the ones that are relevant in the list.
(meaning = explanation)
- "lean in", “lean", “slide", “steps in" = A smooth almost covert move;
and this one:
- "sst", “glare” = SFX for a deadly shift in mood, such as suddenly looking at something or someone with deadly force;
The glare isn’t evident but if we look closely at the image, Karin’s brows are furrowed, there’s a crease.

I was really curious about this SFX because of Sasuke’s reaction and the over all interaction on this panel. I couldn’t read the katakana used clearly before because of the inking (thank you very much for the large image), and I didn’t know that SFX characters can also be read as an individual character. I don’t know much about SFX either.

Update:
According to kanae, takL (a japanese reader) from the naruto forums clarified that the sfx is “suri suri.” I guess I couldn’t identify the character “ri”, I read it as a quotation mark (“). SFX uses this quotation marks or "dakuten" to stress the strangled articulation of vowels (according to izzyisozaki).

So here’s "suri suri”:
スリスリ = "suri suri" = “rub rub” = Up against something/someone.
On another note, “suri” by itself is “slide”, “slip”, “yank”, “pull”, which is an sfx for cloth-like material moving or being moved.

I couldn’t read the character “ri", I have poor eyesight and the blotted inking made it harder for me to recognize it, which is why I rely on other people typing the characters into fonts rather than deciphering them straight from the raw.
