Chapter 2 – A Letter by the Well

After returning home, Quily couldn't stop thinking about the story she had heard. Its words lingered in her mind throughout the evening, leaving her lost in thought.

The next morning, Quily's grandmother asked her to fetch water from the village well. It had always been Quily's responsibility, so she picked up the empty pot and walked towards the well as usual.

As she reached the well, something unusual caught her attention.

A small stone rested near the edge, and on top of it lay a neatly folded letter surrounded by a few fresh sunflowers. The bright yellow flowers gently swayed in the morning breeze, making the mysterious letter impossible to ignore.

Curious, Quily looked around, wondering who could have left it there. Seeing no one nearby, she carefully picked up the letter and slowly unfolded it.

Inside was a handwritten poem.

Quily read the poem once again, her heart filled with confusion. She looked at the bottom of the page, where a single line was written:

"Your beloved, Aaris

She stood there silently, holding the letter in her hands. Questions raced through her mind.

Who is Aaris?

Who left this letter here?

And... was it really meant for me?
