A year ago, in grade 6, my class went on a field trip to the Ancient Roman museum. Me and my group was just minding our business, and looking at the grey statues of naked people.
Our chaperone told us that it was time to move to a different room. Meanwhile, in the next room we were supposed to move to, I saw a girl around my age. She looked a whole lot like Ryleigh, my friend from theatre class, who goes to a different school. I was starting to think that girl was Ryleigh.52Please respect copyright.PENANAB276k2z5t7
I knew I was probably hallucinating, or it was just a look-alike, until I saw a woman and boy appear next to that girl. That "woman" was Ryleigh's mom, and that "boy" was Ryleigh's brother. Then I knew it wasn't just a look-alike.
I still wonder to this day why Ryleigh and her brother were at the museum, instead of school, where they were supposed to be on a typical Wednesday. But, I was tweaking out. Ryleigh looked at me for about three seconds. Then, she looked at her mom.
My friend Daniela asked me if I was okay, so I told her about Ryleigh. Both of us asked our chaperone if we could stay outside the room for a few minutes.

A few minutes later, we saw Ryleigh and her family through a window, walking into the parking lot.
But more than a year later, it became something to laugh about. But back then, it was the field trip that killed me for about three seconds.
