Relying solely on my ability to hold my breath underwater, I really couldn't swim very far. There were some scattered spaceship fragments nearby that I could salvage. The fabricator on the escape pod should be able to process them. Best to just grab whatever I see and bring it back. During the day, the underwater world is an explosion of vibrant colors. But that's easier said than done—I can't carry much on my back.
By the time I headed back, night had fallen. In an environment completely free of light pollution, the only thing visible was the burning mothership. I didn't know whether to feel lucky or heartbroken. My past, and what I thought would be my future, was incinerated right before my eyes, lighting my way back to the lifepod.
Back at the pod, I took inventory. I had enough titanium to craft an oxygen tank. After analyzing the glowing fruit from the sea vines, I discovered it could be used to make rubber and lubricant. Rubber meant fins, which would make swimming a whole lot faster. I also managed to catch a bladderfish, and the AI came up with a blueprint for a flotation device. If I ever run out of air deep underwater, deploying the airbag will drag me rapidly to the surface—pretty handy.
Before going to sleep, I mapped out tomorrow's goals.
Then again, look at the situation I'm in. Why am I still living like such a corporate urbanite? It's hard to say how long I'll even survive, yet here I am making a "tomorrow plan." I should probably just treat this like retirement.
Ha... just kidding, just kidding. If I keep catching fish here, the local population is going to dwindle. I'd better hurry up and repair the escape pod to see what kind of tech I can unlock. At the very least, I need to be able to travel further out. Checking the blueprint list... repairing the equipment requires explosives? Do things like that even exist around here?

Even a place without a calendar still has a "tomorrow." As soon as the sun rose, I headed out to search for supplies. I figured batteries would be essential. After all, I still needed to make a scanner and a flashlight.
Copper ore plus purple mushrooms, and presto—I had a battery. Throw in some titanium ore, and I had myself a scanner.
I salvaged some glass, which took care of the flashlight. While I was at it, I crafted a knife, sliced up some coral, and used it to make a computer chip. Just like that, the habitat builder tool was mine! I was rapidly running out of room to store my gear, so I decided to construct a compartment right next to the lifepod. I can build a few lockers inside to ease the storage pressure.
The escape pod has a built-in filtration system, but the new structure doesn't. I'll need to gather some materials to craft solar panels. Once that's done, I won't have to worry about suffocating to death while organizing my inventory.
But what about the gunpowder for the repair tool?
I skipped around for days and still couldn't find any gunpowder. Even though I was terrified of getting lost in the cave systems, I figured I’d try my luck anyway. Dive into a cave, then make a mad dash back the way I came just to catch my breath, then head back in to explore again—man, this was exhausting. Looks like there's an exit up ahead. Is that black, bulbous thing on the wall some kind of ore? Let me get closer and check it out.
Wait, why did it just open up like a red flower? And that fish inside is swimming right at me! Nothing that enthusiastic ever means well. I lunged forward, trying to break the surface, and then—an explosion rocked the water right behind me! Dammit! That blast took out half my health! So what the hell was that flower? Anything that can breed an exploding fish has got to be guarding the good stuff!
I swam back to search the red flower, and sure enough, I found sulfur! With that, I finally crafted myself a repair tool!

回程也晚上了，完全沒有光害的環境，只看得到火燒的母船。不知該幸還是感傷。我的過去，我以為的未來，就在眼前焚燒，替我照出回救生船的路。
回救生船清點物品。鈦金屬夠做出氧氣筒。海藤上的發光果實，分析後發現它能拿來做橡膠及潤滑油。椽膠啊，有蛙鞋，游泳就快多了。而且也逮到了隻氣泡魚，AI 發明了救生氣囊的方法。在水下游到快沒氣時，打開氣囊，迅速拉到水面上，蠻方便的。
睡前規畫一下明天的目標。

沒有日曆的地方也是會有「明天」啊。天一亮，出門找點東西。我想，電池是有需要的吧。說要做掃描器，照明燈。
銅礦加紫色菇，電池就有了。再多加個鈦礦，就有一把掃描器了。
撿到些玻璃，也有照明燈了。順便再做把刀，切切珊瑚，做出晶片，建設工具也到手了！東西越來越沒地方舟，在救生艙旁建個走廊好了。裡面多蓋幾個櫃子。減輕儲物壓力。
逃生艙有呼吸系統。但是新建築沒有。蒐集點材料來做太陽能板。之後就不會因為遫理東西死了。
但是修理工具的火藥呢？
繞了幾天還是沒有火藥。雖然怕在坑洞裡迷路，還是試一下運氣好了。進山洞，再從原路急速衝出來呼吸。再進去探險，幾好累啊。看來前面也是出口。旁邊那球黑黑的是礦嗎？靠過去看一下。
等等，怎麼開出紅花，而且裡面那隻魚朝我游過來。太熱情的一定沒好事，我往前想衝出水面，然後身後就爆炸了！可惡！把我燒掉半條命！所以那朵花是什麼？能養出爆炸魚，應該要有好貨吧！
回去蒐索那朵紅花，果然拿到硫礦了！做好一把修理槍！
