CHAPTER 2 — WELCOME TO HELL
The gates of Crimson Rebellion HQ groaned as they opened.
Ren hesitated.
The building in front of him wasn’t just abandoned—it felt abandoned by hope itself. A broken skyscraper swallowed by rust, graffiti, and crimson banners that fluttered like torn skin in the wind.
Raiden didn’t stop walking.
“You stand still,” he said without turning, “and you get left behind.”
Ren forced his legs to move.
Inside, the air was heavy with heat, sweat, and something worse—violence that had already happened and violence waiting to happen again.
Gang members filled every corner.
Some sparred in brutal hand-to-hand fights. Others sat sharpening weapons. A few just watched newcomers with bored, predatory eyes.
Ren felt it immediately.
He didn’t belong here.
A whistle cut through the noise.
A boy leaned against a pillar, tattoos crawling up his arms like black snakes.
“So that’s the new recruit?” he said loudly. “He looks like he’ll break if I sneeze on him.”
Laughter spread through the hall.
Ren’s jaw tightened, but he stayed silent.
Raiden stopped.
Just stopped walking.
The hall went quiet instantly.
The tattooed boy smirked and flicked a coin toward Ren.
It spun through the air and hit his forehead.

That single sound felt louder than everything else.
“Pick it up,” Raiden said calmly.
Ren slowly bent down.
The humiliation burned more than the impact.
When he stood up, the tattooed boy was still smiling.
“Pathetic.”
A second passed.
Then—
Raiden moved.
Nobody saw the full motion.
Only the result.
The boy was suddenly on the floor, coughing violently, blood spilling between his fingers.
The entire hall froze.
Raiden crouched beside him.
“In Crimson Rebellion,” he said softly, “strength decides whether you live or disappear.”
He grabbed the boy’s collar slightly.
“Try that again… and you won’t wake up tomorrow.”
Silence swallowed the room.
Ren’s stomach twisted.
This wasn’t discipline.
This was survival disguised as order.
That night, Ren lay awake on a metal bunk.
Every sound in the building felt like footsteps approaching his grave.
He realized something slowly, painfully:
