Ike doesn’t talk much. He keeps to himself, hoodie up, head down. His only real friend is Ned — a computer genius who knows how to break into just about anything with a keyboard.

One day, their class takes a field trip to a science museum in NYC. Two hours on a loud bus. Five minutes walking through busy streets. That’s when Ike sees something strange — a man in a ripped-up suit, face messed up, running from the cops. Everyone else ignores it.

But then Ike hears a thud. Turns around. The guy’s on the ground. Cops gone. A shattered jar. Black goo leaking everywhere.

The man yells, “Don’t touch it!”

Ike’s curiosity wins. He touches it.

And just like that... his whole life flips upside down.

This is the beginning of something bigger.
