The 13 demi-gods draw their miraculous powers from this source, manipulating it to perform feats beyond the reach of ordinary magic users.
Divine Magic: Divine magic is bestowed by the 13 demi-gods, though the process remains largely obscured to mortals. This type of magic is granted through acts of faith, typically invoked through prayer rather than incantations. Unlike other forms of magic, it requires no mana from the caster and manifests instantly. Mortals may not realize that any demi-god, archangel, underlord, or arc-devil can respond to their prayers. While the intended deity usually answers, in their absence, any other deity might intervene. Reasons for a deity not responding include lack of faith, repetitive invocation of the same divine spells, or the deity being temporarily unavailable.
Demonic Magic: Sourced from the same universal Essence as divine magic, demonic magic often harbors corruptive power and is typically employed for darker purposes. When mortals call upon demonic forces, they might unknowingly subject themselves to spiritual corruption, especially if the responding entity is a demonic one. Demonic entities usually grant magical aid in exchange for services or deeds that advance their own nefarious agendas.
Traditional Magic: (Wizardry) Each planet within Lizyra radiates its own form of Essence, creating a natural flow of energy across its landscapes. This residual essence enables all beings—humanoid or monster—to harness magic using their own mana. Through spell incantations, individuals can tap into their planet's unique essence to wield various types of magic, from elemental to healing, to various non-combative forms. However, extensive use of mana can lead to depletion, rendering spells ineffective until the caster’s reserves are replenished. Training and knowledge can enhance one's mana capacity and spellcasting prowess.
Innate Magic: (Sorcery) This type of magic is derived from one’s own attunement to the planets Essence. This magic is summoned at will at the expense of the caster’s natural mana pool usually without incantations. Sorcerers would be a derivative of this type of magic. Once one exhausts their mana pool, they are now touching into Soul Essence (see below).
Elementalist Magic: (Manipulation) Elementalists harness the raw energies of the natural world to fuel their magical abilities. Unlike sorcerers, who draw from an internal reservoir of power, or wizards, who pull magic through academic study and summoning from other dimensions (the void), Elementalists need proximity to specific natural sources to channel their magic.
Water Magic: Elementalists can manipulate water when it rains, near rivers, lakes, or any water body, turning the moisture into formidable spells such as tidal waves or healing mists.
Fire Magic: When near a source of fire, such as a bonfire, lava, or even natural wildfires, Elementalists can conjure flames, cast fireballs, or create barriers of heat.
Earth Magic: (Geo) In areas rich with stone, dirt, or in forests, they can cause the ground to shift, summon walls of earth, or even cause plants to grow and entwine enemies rapidly.
Wind Magic: On windy days or in high places where the air is strong, they can summon gusts, create shields of wind, or even manipulate the weather to a minor extent. Elementalists must learn not only the fundamentals of magic as all casters do but also deepen their understanding of natural processes and the elemental balance of the world. Well springs and nature: Various lands have what are called “well springs.” These are areas that radiant essence into physical forms of matter (magical mists, lakes—lakes that heal anything that enter it, kill, or grant enchantments— stones that grant enchantments—miasma—etc…).
