The golden afternoon light draped over the hill, casting soft shadows beneath the old cherry blossom tree. Its petals fluttered like tiny pink butterflies, twirling in the wind before settling on the emerald grass below. Fireflies with crystalline wings drifted through the air like floating stars, weaving trails of light as they danced. The wind carried the soft chime of bells, though no instruments were in sight. Lila clutched the bouquet to her chest, feeling the warmth of its magic. “This is… beautiful,” she murmured.
Momo hopped closer, resting its head against her arm. “The flowers hold wishes,” a voice, soft and melodic, echoed in her mind. It was not spoken aloud, but rather felt—like a whisper of magic directly into her heart.
Lila’s eyes widened. “You… can speak?”
Momo only twitched its ears.
A memory surfaced, one she had long forgotten—of sitting beneath this very tree as a child, laughing as she made flower crowns, whispering wishes to the wind. “I used to believe in magic,” she said softly. “But I grew up. And… I forgot.”
Momo nudged her hand, guiding her fingers to press against the petals. The bouquet pulsed with warmth again, sending another ripple through the air. This time, the wind itself whispered back.
“Then remember.”
Lila closed her eyes and let the memory return—the days when she had believed in fairy tales, in the kindness of the wind, in the magic hidden in small things. As she did, the world around her shimmered even brighter, as if welcoming her back.

Momo’s tiny nose twitched, a silent confirmation.
Lila smiled, eyes glistening. The weight in her heart, the heaviness she carried, had lifted, replaced with something new—something lighter, warmer.
She gently tucked one of the glowing flowers into her hair and held the rest close. “Then, I’ll never forget again.”
The cherry blossoms swayed in the wind, the petals swirling around her in a soft embrace, and the stars above blinked into existence a little earlier that night, as if celebrating her return to magic.
And so, beneath the enchanted tree, a girl and a rabbit sat together, surrounded by a world that had been waiting for her to believe again.
