"What's up Lucas?" I ask giving a fist bump.
Yep! That's Lucas. Dark haired, slightly shorter than me and is an emo thanks to his dark makeup and clothing but don't let that fool you. He is a huge superhero weeb. Ask him anything about Marvel, DC or any superhero of any genre and he will talk none stop.
What about me?
Well, I am an anime weeb but I don't really have much knowledge in that though thanks to my hectic life's schedule but I would love to go to an anime convention event someday.
"So have you don Mr. Fuller's math assignment?" he asks.
I wipe out a copy of it from my handbag. "Locked and loaded."
"Thanks. I need to copy from you since I forgot." he says collecting it.
"Don't make it too obvious though. He flipped his lid the last time you did that," I point out.
"Copying assignments again? Do you want to be suspended?"
I look to the right. "Good morning Julie Jenkins."
Yep. The person who just scolded me is my nerdy law abiding friend called Julie Jenkins. Dark haired, a little on the plus size and always wears a pair of round glasses. Her signature out fit is a white dress or a white skirt and did I forget to mention her mom is the Guidance Counselor of the school? Not only that, that woman runs a rehabilitation home for kids with social problems.

"Y/N, why are you letting him copy your assignment?" she asks.
"Because he forgot to do his." I reply.
"That's cheating and you know it. If Mr. Fuller finds out, he is going to suspend both of you!"
Lucas chuckled. "Relax Julie. We have Mr. Fuller on the third period today after lunch and I'll make sure not to make it obvious."
"Just don't spill ketchup on the paper. I pulled an all nighter on that," I reply.
He chuckled and stashed it away in his bag.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? The three losers of Angelo High have gathered once again to plot their down fall."
I roll my eyes because I lacked a good comeback to that but turn around to smile at Emily Clack aka Horseface.
"Why good morning to you too Emily. Still bitter about the insult in the cafeteria last week?"
Her face twisted into a frown and we cut to the flashback.
We're in the middle of August and Julie was in a pickle because the school's Halloween party was around the corner. Why? She needed a date and a good one. As any good friend, I start scouting for a good candidate but word seemed to get out about the situation and Emily thought it would be a good idea to rub her love life in Julie's face on a Friday during lunch.
"Oh poor, poor, Julie. I guess being lonely is the only thing you got." she began with a huge sigh.
Julie gave us a side glance before saying, "Excuse me?"
"A little birdie told me you were looking for a date to the school's annual Halloween dance." She chuckled, "Too bad you are too fat to get one. Plus your taste in fashion is dreadful especially when your Halloween costumes. What are you going to dress up as this year? The Giant Punch Bowl?"
Then she laughed at her poor joke. Pity I had a fry in my mouth during that time.
"What are you saying exactly?" Lucas asked.
"I am saying your little friend ought to loose weight. Oh wait? She can't. No one can loose weight within a span of a few weeks unless she does plastic surgery." then she struck a prideful pose, "I on the other hand can get any guy to the dance because I am way better than her. The whole cafeteria 'ohhed' at that as Emily turned red.

I cock an eyebrow, "Yeah. You are a heffer. No wait, a horse and from the looks of things, I can see you are still trying to get rid of that overhanging jawline of yours but its getting worse I'm I right?"
She gasped it was my turn to chuckle, "So sad. I bet you are going to fire the plastic surgeon messed up your face and you wanna know how I know?"
I lean closer and whispered to her, "My mom is currently fucking him in exchange for a boobjob and I overheard her telling her friends that he has a small foot-size. Must run in your family because he's your father's brother I'm I right?"

Lucas ate some of my fries but I didn't care.
Victory was ours and my friends dignity was restored.
"I can tell he hasn't worked on that face of yours Ms. Barbie doll. What's the matter? You chewed him out for sleeping with my mom?" I ask.
She scoffed. "I can't believe you! How can you be proud of the fact your mom sleeps around?"
I shrug. "Maybe I decided to take her antics as part of life. I mean, its easier that way don't you think?"
She gritted her teeth.
"And nice try sending that stranger the day before yesterday. I mean, what were you thinking sending him to pose as my boyfriend? He did a terrible job of making it obvious."
"Stranger? What stranger?" Julie asked.
I scoffed and thumb at Emily, "She sent someone to seduce me the other day and he did a terrible job." then I turned to look at her, "Honestly Horseface, if you want to trick me into dating someone, hire a better actor because he was creeeeepy!"
Emily looked at me like I had just fallen out of the sky and smirked, "I didn't send any one to woe you,"
My face fell, "You didn't?"
"No. If I was going to send anyone to you, it would be a hitman to murder you for sleeping with my Uncle!" she yelled shoving her forefinger at me.
I roll my eyes to heaven, "Please! Send him after my mom. She's the one fucking him."
"Whatever loser," she said doing a W with her hands. "Thanks to your whore of a mother, he is no longer invited to family gatherings and the next time she fucks one of our family members, my father would make sure you and that tart are screwed. Got it?"
"Fine. Just hope my mother doesn't screw him first. She's good at that." I reply.
She scowls and storms off muttering to herself while I turn to my friends who had a shocked look on their faces.
"Okay Y/N I know your family life is awful but do you really have to broadcast it like that?" Julie asked.
I fold my arms. "Thanks for your concern Julie but I am not looking for sympathy from anyone."
"Yeah. You are one tough girl taking crap from them all the time," Lucas said.
I grin at that complement although...I don't know how much I can take.
"Anyway, about that stranger you met in the park..." Julie began.
I brush it off, "Relax Julie. Maybe Horseface was just lying to cover up for her failure,"
"Are you sure about that?" Lucas asked in concern. "Because there are a lot of weirdos in the city lately."
"Not to talk about the murder that happened downtown," Julie whipped out her phone and shoved it into my face. "See? The person was an eighteen year old but he got stabbed in his apartment!"
Seeing the grim picture of the a corpse lying in a pool of blood nearly made me bark so I shove the phone away.
"Yeah. I understand what you mean," I say.
"No you don't. The next time you see this person call the police got it?" she snapped then whipped out her notebook. "Now describe him,"
I shrug and start talking, "Tall, balding, wears a blue shirt with a heart on it with a pair of black pants. Light grey-skinned with blue eyes and bags underneath. Oh did I forget to mention he was creepy?"
"Umm Y/N, isn't he the one standing over there looking at us?" Lucas asked.
I turn to the left and see him staring at me with shock in his eyes. Then he smiled and waved at me.
All I could say was, "Oh, shit!"
