Thanks! I wanted to convey the idea that even the ugly parts of ourselves that we want to hide probably act as counterbalances to our other more "virtuous" aspects. If we remove either half of the scale, the entire thing falls apart.

I grew up on Grimm and Anderson, so I've always had a fascination with fairy tales and folklore. It's a genre that is mainly overlooked these days, so I'm grateful these great contests keep popping up on Penana to indulge me.
